Axis Construction are pleased to be awarded our Passive House Certification for Fingal County Council new housing development in Lusk in conjunction withDepartment of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. We would like to thank Mosart the Project Passive House Certifiers, for their support and working closely with our Project team on gaining this certification and also Paul KeoghArchitects.
This initiative, a 1st for Fingal County Council with a focus of reducing carbon footprint and taking action on climate change through the building of PassiveHouses. The building was designed to meet passive house standards and achieved full passive house certification and the 1st Passive House development for Fingal County Council.
TheHouses were fitted with energy efficient renewable heating systems to assist with complying with Passive & superseding NZEB standards coupled with the air tightness achieving less heat loss increasing the heating system efficiently, thereby reducing heating bills and energy wastage. These homes will enhance the lives of home dwellers and lessen our environmental impact with high-performance windows and heat recovery systems.
